It is that time of the month for our man of the month. Meet the incredible Canadian artist Dimitri Sirenko!
Graduating from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with a major in animation, Dimitri Sirenko is a man of many creative talents. Specialising in concept art and design, cinematic directing as well as art directing, animation, story boarding, UI/UX, editing and music, sound production and game design, both board and video. But what I would like to talk about here is Dimitri’s traditional artwork, his one true love and passion, his portraiture, wildlife images and sea-scapes, because, just… WOW!
The vibrancy and movement in Dimitris work is phenomenal. And oh boy can the man move! Having won the National Championship of Art Battle as well as Battle of the Brush in 2018 (The fast-paced competitions allowing painters 20 minutes or so to create a work of art!).
Working primarily in acrylics, Dimitri is able to meld and mould classical and modern disciplines with such ease and composure. His subjects are incredibly vivid, the essence of each character provoking intense emotion and connection.
“For me, art is a language that is able to communicate ideas, concepts and evoke emotions. Afterall, if I, being the artist, cannot speak that universal language fluently, how can I ever expect my audience to understand me?” Dimitri strives towards excellence in his never ending artistic journey, and I am absolutely watching and listening to what he has to say.
He is Dimitri Sirenko.
She is Art.
Be Bold. Be Sexy. Be Fierce.
