“She is not of this world. She was conceived from a golden heart of divinity and born of love, light and wisdom. In peace she will guide us and from the very core of her being she will show us the way.” - ‘Brielle’ ATMR
In French, the name Brielle means exalted Goddess.
A Heart Of Gold. One who is described as having a heart of gold is a person with a rich heart; rich being defined as being full of love, faith and good values.
The heart is the symbolic centre of our being. The heart represents the very core of life and the embodiment of love itself.
Gold is most often defined as the colour of extravagance pertaining to monetary value, however gold is more so associated with wealth and riches in connection with illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion, magic, and wisdom.
Inspiration and Work in Progress
Oh Brielle! I don’t think I have been this excited in quite sometime, after finishing an artwork, as I have been with this lady… though I’m not entirely sure why that is, except that she is just phenomenal of course ;).
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Brielle come together shade by shade, colour by colour… that is how I work; one colour at a time, layer upon layer before moving onto the next hue. I will go back over a previous colour if I need to ‘tidy up’ or cover a spill; sometimes the saturation still isn’t quite even and it may need an additional coat, or (God help me) I want to change out the colour all together! Brielle actually had quite a few colour changes; it can be really frustrating at the time, but way worth it in the end, so I just listen to my podcast or audio book, sometimes some great old tunes I can sing along to, then Kate, Tim and Joel on Nova in the evenings, and keep on keeping on until I get her just right.
About the series (yet to be named): I really like to keep smaller works simple and striking, not overindulged with mixed media and texture. My desire is to make an explosive statement with this body of work and bring some of that bold, fierce colour and contrast back into my art, which was once a prominent signature of my style.
